  • Biography:

    • Dr. Asfar is a tobacco control expert who has worked closely with the UM occupational research group to examine tobacco health and tobacco-associated disease topics among US workers ranging from initiation in youth to use and health consequences in older workers. Specifically, she has been working with other UMORG members to examine smoking-related health outcomes and occupational exposures that increase the risk of smoking initiation in young workers.
